Memorandum of Understanding
The Air Force Academy Foundation is able to receive legacy gifts that state donor preference for their use by the Academy. If you wish to designate your future gift you may place specific language in your legal documents, or separately have a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on file with the AFA Foundation. In the latter instance you would only state in the will or trust that your charitable bequest go to the AFA Foundation with any actual designation stated in a separate MOU. Then indicate your preference(s) in the MOU. This allows you the flexibility to make changes (only you can do so, not the AFA Foundation) without needing to alter your legal documents.
